Wolfe
(ulfTone Music - 2003)

This is blues rock at it's best! Guitar World Magazine wrote: "America has a new blues guitar hero - Todd Wolfe" And some might know his face, Todd Wolfe was lead guitarist and songwriter of Sheryl Crow from 1993 to 1998. He toured with Sheryl Crow and played the same stages as bands like The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Page & Plant and Elton John to name just a few. In 1998 Wolfe and band colleague Scott Bryan founded the band Mojosons which played a modern mixture of blues and psychedelic rock. The Todd Wolfe Blues Project was followed to kill time between the tours with Sheryl Crow and played classical tunes of Howlin' Wolf, Otis Rush and Robert Johnson. Playing live made them known and soon they had a lot of fans, beside that Wolfe host every Sunday a jam session at New Yorks legendary club Manny's Car Wash. The offer of A&M Records he didn't took and released this album in the US only available through mail-order, by incident he got in touch with the German indi label ulfTone Music which now released this album in Europe. Songs like Silver Blue and Black Night are great blues tunes in a modern sound. Full of emotions and in the vain of the best blues musicians Todd Wolfe and his mates offer eleven tracks which have the quality to become genre classics! If you like blues & blues rock and not just the type of blues rock Gary Moore plays, then check this one out!
