The band was founded in August of 1999 by Narnia singer Christian Liljegren. The sextet plays more traditional metal with melodies which is more in the vain of Pretty Maids and DIO, but not on the same high level.

A decent debut of the Swedish, but at times when the scene got back to more melodic kinds of metal, many albums get/got released and a decent album might not get enough attention... If the media gives them a chance, the fans of this genre may do so as well...

Give songs like I Believe and One Wayout give a good impression of Wisdom Call. Interesting is Wisdom Call's cover of the Europe tune Wings Of Tomorrow, personally I will still prefer the original, but the Wings Of Tomorrow album was and still is my favorite Europe album... 

The final conclusion: A decent debut, but to make it the Swedish have to develop and take the step to the next level.

The guys of Wisdom Call offer on their same named debut album melodic power metal. The band with Narnia singer Christian Liljegren play Scandinavian power metal with great hooks, catchy melodies and have already found their own sound - partly. Sound-wise the band is close to Christian's main band, but has also elements of Hammerfall and so you get some 80's metal in nowadays sound. One of the highlights on the album is the catchy I Believe, the opening track Power From The Sky and the more progressive mid-tempo track Through Fire.

But that's not enough! This is just an average release and the weak try to cover Europe's Wings Of Tomorrow....

Another Swedish true metal release - many will follow - for your collection and from me they get...
