Where Fate Lies Unbound

Where Fate Lies Unbound
(self-released - 2012)

The American band Warseid is not the most productive one, but their first EP from 2010, Sentry, is now followed up by a new EP called Where Fate Lies Unbound. If you like black metal with a competely different touch you should give Warseid a chance. Deep black metal roots but performed with softness and much grandoise. A mix that is so different from the normal mainstream kind of black metal that are plenty of already. Frost Upon The Embers offers the listener a spiritual fantasy black metal far out of the frames of traditional black metal. The Vengeance Pact is just more of the same different and interesting black metal of fantasy and atmosphere from another world. Farewell is the last song of the small album, slow guitars with a gothic and storytelling angle of their black metal, a song that must be enjoyed to bring forth the good spirit that lies in the songwriting. One of the more rare albums, that is for sure.
