You should memorize the name Pump of the Swabian hard rock / metal band. Many rock fans been disappointed by the last Guns'n Roses resp. Axl Rose album and if you are among them, then check out Sonic Extasy. If you compare Chinese Democracy with the Pump album then Axl Rose's release is a half-hearted piece - just that he makes big bucks with it. That's the way it is, the music biz isn't a fair one and the major labels aren't interested in a German band, they are only interested in the latest trend. Good move of the new label Fastball Music to sign Pump! Right from the start and with the opener Ready, Aim & Fire the sound will infect you. The songs sound fresh and you'll realize soon that the guys are very ambitious. The band exists for 7 years and they opened for bands like Axel Rudi Pell and Queensrÿche. Soon they will play some shows with House Of Lords and UFO. I really dig Sonic Extasy, with their fresh sound they can move you and they managed to add a modern touch to old-school hard rock. This is an album bands like Dokken, Y&T and Tesla would take their hats off for. This is real fun, so please stick to your guns!
