Visual Violence
(Punishment 18 Records - 2008)

Oh my God!!!! '80s thrash is BACK!!!! But not from another reformed band of those years, but from these young guys from Leeds, England. They really believe in what they're playing, also the clothes remind that glorious (thrash) years. Pitiful Reign play real thrash metal, and it's impossible for everyone, after a listening to this CD, not to think about the old ones like Anthrax, Annihilator, Death Angel and the Bay Area bands of the '80s. And the CD cover from Repka is a classic drawn of a thrash record of that era!!!!
Pitiful Reign's Visual Violence is a record that surprise me for a lot of reasons, and the most important one is the attitude of these guys to show to a new generation how thrash sounds powerful!!! Visual Violence, D.I.V.E. (their first official video), Malevolence Of The Butcher are some titles that drive you crazy, dear thrash maniacs!!!!! I'm not kidding!!! If you don't believe me please visit www.pitifulreign.co.uk or the site of the label www.punishment18records.com !!!!! If this is a war, Pitiful Reign win this battle! We could raise our glasses to these guys: Josh Callis Smith (vocals), Alan Pashby (guitar), Nev Britton (guitar), Matt Walker (bass) and Tom Small (drums).
