Dr. Ape is active in the Swedish music life, and now he is involved a solo project called Ouijabeard where he gets help from Blaze Bayley on the vocals. It shows clearly that Bayley is part of the production, because the music style is very similar to the style Iron Maiden had in the 80's, but not with the same convincing charm and character. The there of this album is the life of Rasputin from Russia, his deeds and way of doing things, but to transform all that to music may not be the easiest task of things to do. The musical output stands as rather anonymous standard heavy metal without clear landmarks to fix your attention to, and the influence and help from Blaze Bayley is not really giving a difference to count on. Sorry to say it, but the energy and wildness that should have been here is simply not present.
