Ringmaster

Ringmaster
(Gutter Rec. - 1998)

Let's start talking about the cover artwork, coz it's done by Travis Smith who is known for his work for Iced Earth, Overkill, Death and Nevermore.
On Ringmaster are 10 tracks which offer a decent variety. For example Lazy Drag which is the last song on the album and a ballad. The title track is rough rock like most of the tracks on this album which is probably called doom or stoner rock, years ago probably alternative. So, this isn't something new, but quite popular at the moment. The powerful songs sound fresh which you won't find on every genre release. Produced is the album by John Perez who worked for Solitude Aeturnus in the past.
At all this is an album of the better part of an hour with not very innovative, but rocking tracks. It starts with the opener Behemoth (sounds like a Norwegian black metal band....) and so it goes on until the last track, the ballad. So, check it out!
