Finally a band which isn't a pure Hammerfall / Edguy clone! The band is called Cyberia and they are from Wuppertal (Germany). Musically they offer gothic power metal with electronic elements. Nothing really special, but different from most other bands. Four guys and a girl (keyboards) show a decent performance, especially the opener Ministry Of T.E.C.H. is convincing with the changing vocals.
The rest of the material like Digital Heros, Mindcontrol and Bloodbrothers are quite good, even if the melodic refrain is the best part of the songs. Metal a different way... Well, it's nice, even if the electronic elements take a while to get into. Not all the tracks are good and so there are weak points like Since I Loved You and Invisible. But they should be able to change that on the next album. If you are open-minded, then check them out. Perhaps you will like it... Anyway, let's wait and see how they will develop.
