Cronologia Eterna

Cronologia Eterna
(self-released - 2001)

The band Corsario Negro from Córdoba (Argentina) was founded in late 2000 and soon released this 3-track demo. The band is based in traditional heavy metal... think of Iron Maiden in their early years. They open with the up-tempo tune Cronologia Eterna. Hammering drums, pumping bass and guitar riffs build the basis for Lucas Giorgi's powerful voice. He sometimes add some screams, too. With fast drum beats they head into Solo un Rock And Roll, but it's a mid-paced tune which vocally a bit more US metal-like this time with high-pitched vocals. But Giorgi varies, but somehow this song can't hook me up. The last one is La Plegaria del Justiciero which is quite heavy and guitar-driven. Well played, but this time the vocals can't keep up. This one they should overdo, I think...
Well, for a demo it ain't bad, they have ideas, but need to find their musical home. The sound of this demo is quite good. It would be interesting to see what they can achieve with a producer...
