Protect Me From What I Want

Protect Me From What I Want
(G.W.N. Records - 2002)

Actually this is a re-release of the 1999 released debut of the Dutch quintet. But back in time... C Of E arose from the ashes of OSIRIS and soon entered the studio to record 12 metal core tracks. But luck wasn't at their side and so the label who offered a contract had to draw back their offer, coz they had to face bankruptcy. At the end of 1999 the album was released by a small label. The band hoped to gain interest of a bigger label, but life is tough sometimes.... It took two years to get back into the limelight with this re-release. But this could also have been the result of this depressive times, coz the twelve songs are aggressive metal core tracks! Perhaps it would have been the easier way to record what the music industry was looking for, but the Dutch continued their way in their stubbornness which made them survive these days. Musically very talented and with their own sound it should be possible to get back the attention... And if they get the chance to tour, they might use the tough times to make it this time. They would deserve it, so listen to this album, if you are into metal core or open-minded enough to give it a try!
