Just recently I hear of Paul Clark for the first time. Soon I learnt more about Mr. Clark and his album Shredz At An Exhibition. On the album the guitar tells the stories - the instrumental piece let the lead guitar do the talking. The album title indicates that you get guitar shreds, sweeps and tapped. The crystal clear guitar sound the guitar tells stories. The story of The Rape Of The Sabine Women is about the Roman Caesar Romulus and his armies. So it's not just music, this has depth.
Its a kind of conceptual album... He walks through an exhibition and tells the stories of different painting. An interesting idea.
This album is interesting for fans of Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen and Van Halen, coz Paul Clark - who studied classical music - can keep up with them.
