It's an statement of character when Vorkreist describes their music as brutal and catchy as hell, because they put the finger right on the spot. A new step is taken for the French band who are circling around Christian items the other way around, they attack the topics with a hateful attitude, now you have a little presentation of Vorkreist, and by the way, the name is a term that supposedly means Antichrist.
Their 4th album is released by Agonia Records, and Vorkreist are happy that they have achieved the sound that they want, both brutal and precise, and even if you are not into their style of music you can not avoid getting smitten by the quality of their music, the way they constantly get their messages and mission rammed into their songs. The singer is none other than Saint Vincent, and the 9 songs delivers one massive crusade after another against Christianity. De Imitatione Christi has great powerful guitar work and fires the first brutal massive strike in the antichrist direction. Deus Vult is melodic hate served brutal and vile for their fans. Dominus Illumination Mea is not only massive metal, it also has this character of missionary task included in the powerful guitar frenziness. Memento Mori gives the listener a chance to relax a few minutes as the song is slow but still brutal as hell, just cut a little down in tempo. Ecce Homo has the greatest creativity in the structure of the song, combined with an attitude of absolutely no compromises. Scalae Gemoniae finish the crusade with a dedication that other bands could learn something from, they put all their great ideas into the long and missionary closing song with powerful melodic guitar metal served directly from Paris to be spread around the Globe to the awaiting masses who welcomes the salvation with great anticipation.
