Baltimore hardcore outfit Trapped Under Ice is back with a full-length debut Secrets Of The World, so far they only had an EP Stay Cold out. The fivesome offers a raw, groove-driven variety of hardcore, not hyperfast attacks. The guys know what they are doing and so you will get moved. Okay, there are some short fast moments, but mainly they offer up-tempo groover. Singer Justice offers his critical lyrics with anger and aggression - and you believe him. Musically take a dash of Biohazard, a pinch of Cro-Mags and a lot Madball, put it into a blender and add some dark sounds - et voilá you get Trapped Under Ice. The grooves are accentuated, the gang shouts get right to the point, the sound is heavy and raw, so everybody who loves the groove of the mid-90's should check them out! A cool debut album, even if the runtime is a bit too short...
