The quartet 13 Veces was founded back in 2003 in Argentina. The band of Fredie Miramontes and his mates wanted to combine great rock melodies and the energy and force of metal - they created their vision of alternative metal.
This EP was done for promotional uses and distributed at their concerts as well as given to radio stations and zines. The first song is Maquina de sueños and a heavy groove is the first you get. A bit like Queen Of The Stone Age... The vocals of Fredie are a bit collage radio like... A heavy, grooving version of bands like 3 Doors Down, Nickleback, etc. With Tu Boca you get one more tune - and this one has a more positive vibe. The song would suit collage radio stations. During an instrumental part the other guys get a chance to show their skills and especially bassist Pablo Quinteros get a bit more up-front. The emotional vocals fit very well to the song. Well done!
The 2 songs are well played, the demo has a good sound quality and is fun to listen to. I hope to hear more from the Porteños!
