On disc: Summer's Last Regret

- Understanding> - Claudia Ehrhardt - 5 stars

(Redfield Rec. - 2002)

The quartet from Bonn started back in fall 1998 and recorded a year later a demo tape which was called It's All Your Fault which was sold-out within a few weeks. In summer 2000 they recorded an EP called What If Everything's Said And I Still Don't Feel Alright on their own. They played live and now they thing that the time is right to release their debut album, a 5-track CD called Understanding. For sure this has nothing to do with the punk which came from the U.K. in the late 70's.
There are similarities to the West coast punk movement, but hard to give a direction, so give it a try and listen to track no. 3. But they mix up different punk styles. Make your own decision about the quartet.
