Live In Europe

Live In Europe
(Blue Storm Music - 2002)

The first 6 tracks on Live In Europe were recorded in 1968 and it sounds like the old recordings. A travel back in time to the climax of Spooky Tooth. The part with the live tracks incl. Sunshine Help Me, Too Much Of Nothing, Feelin' Bad, The Weight, I Can't Quit Her and Blues Town. Not necessary to tell more about this classic tunes.
Track no. 7 is Pretty Colours which is a previously unreleased track recorded back in 1966. The sound is not very good, but they decided to put this one on this album even if they don't have the master, coz it's a great track which "is meant as a historical reference / link to one of the members of Spooky Tooth" to quote the liner notes.
The next 2 songs are outtakes of the reunion recording sessions in 1999. Both have the charm of the quintet. Sunshine and How are interesting, coz they show that they would still sound the same, just the sound quality is better due to today's studio equipment.
As bonus there are Better By You Better Than Me and Soulful Lady, but there is no information when or where these been recorded. From the sound I guess it's an old recording... Anyway, it's great that the old live recordings finally got released and that Blue Storm Music added some tunes. If you can't get it in your local record store, you can order it at www.bluestormmusic.com
