SawThis comes with another view of how to play thrash metal. Both sarcastic and humoristic compared with aggressive and melodic elements woven into their songwriting. 11 new songs is on the third album Youniverse, all of them starting their titles The... The Waking Up, The Disturbed, etc. Mostly its concentrated on standard aggressive thrash metal but from time to time we also get bits of machine inspired metal, so never say that SawThis are not able to broad their view on metal songwriting. Of this mix I feel that The Crowded Room makes a difference with the melodic thrashy touch, The Impure Soul lifts aggressive thrash metal onto a new and much higher shelf, The Voice Falls On Me is also loaded with much aggression just in a little different way that makes it very interesting. For the fans of advanced thrash metal this record really is a must in their collection.
