Greece is a country with many cultural, historic matters of interest, including many wars. Alexander is the biggest hero in Greece, and when Sacred Blood introduces their debut album all the themes is of the great war that Alexander fought for his country. The album is called Alexandros, and Sacred Blood try to be bombastic and ambitious in their sound and compositions, but somehow the energy is missing in the album. Too often is turns out to be battle shouting, spoken war predictions and war cries, the music seems to come a little on the sidelines in their eager to bring forth the war, fight and praise for Alexander. But there are two songs which show a high level, The Battle Of The Granicus, where the guitars are really flying and the melodic power metal is full of quality. Death Behind The Walls is a song with tons of flow in the metal, heavy power and tough raised fists attitude from Sacred Blood.
