Cosas de este mundo

Cosas de este mundo
(Locomotive Music - 2002)

The band Reincidentes started back in the 80's in Spain. Now they are back after a break with Cosas de este mundo. Musically the sextet presents heavy metal with punk and rock elements and Spanish lyrics. More mature, no longer leaders of the alternative youth, they deal these days lyrically with social, local problems (e.g. Latin America).
When I heard the first track it remind me of the Spanish Baron Rojo, not musically more the attitude and vibe of their music. Soundwise the Andalusians have a modern sound with reminiscences to the past. A good example is probably Revolución and Mi Generación.
The usage of Spanish lyrics make the songs more authentic and intense, but also means that many music fans won't get the critical lyrics and the intention to widen the horizon of the listener is limited to Spanish speaking fans.
For fans who don't mind about Spanish lyrics this is an interesting heavy rock album, but give it a try first to find out, if this musical mixture is your taste.
