Maybe you have never heard of the band Mortualia, but black metal fans have maybe heard of Shatraug, who has a side project called Mortualia, and it's the debut album from 2007 that Shatraug is re-releasing now in 2011. Shatraug is also involved with Sargeist, and has done a lot of musical activity also with the band Horna. This Mortualia debut album can best be described as depressing and the six songs are so filled with strange dark noises that it is a pain to listen to it. Long songs with no ideas at all, completely without development and most of the time it's instrumental noises sometimes accompanied by Shatraug. If he is jamming in the rehearsal room, why bother to make a record out of it.
