Inhumanity

Inhumanity
(Listenable Rec. - 2003)

The Finnish youngsters started back in 1999 and this line-up plays together since 2001. At that time the first demo had already got them an offer from the French Listenable Records label. As a result of the contract the sextet recorded in December 2002 at the famous Tico-Tico Studio. Later Inhumanity was mixed at the Finnvox Studio in January 2003. Good conditions for a debut. Musically they are similar to Children Of Bodom, Soilwork and other melodic death metal bands, even if the vocals are meaner and remind me more of some black metal singers, but without the screams. Mainly fast tracks, some with slower melodic keyboard parts and great guitar solos. A good example therefore is D.I.B. On The Lust Called Knowledge the Finnish slow down a little, a more mid-tempo one, even if it has fast double-bass drumming parts and a fast part at the end. The guitars and keyboard deliver the atmospheric melody lines as a contrast to the hoarse vocals. A catchy song.
Oblivion starts slowly with guitars and keyboard, balladesque. After more then 90 sec. it speeds up a little, but stays soft in comparison with the other tracks. An instrumental which shows a different side of Mors Principium Est. The youngsters are showing a musical diversity on their debut. Check them out!
