Mekanism Of Time

Mekanism Of Time
(Brennus Music - 2002)

Does anybody remember the French band Wotan? Anyway, K.O.B. arose from the ashes of this band. In 1997 three former members of Wotan joined forces and founded K.O.B.! Two years later they found singer Stéphane Graziani (ex-Nightreaper).
From the first moment the chemistry was right and so they started writing new material. They recorded between July 2000 and March 2001 at the well-known Op 'Us Systèmes Studios where e.g. Jean-Michel Jarre recorded. But it took almost a year after they left the studio before the album hit the stores... Anyway, their heavy metal is timeless, they are influences by the rock music of the 70's and 80's. But they listen not just to metal and so you will find some other ingredients as well. A track which represent the band and the album is Dirty Woman, Fallen Angel. Some might not like the high-pitched parts, the screams.... But if you like stuff like Agent Steel, Crimson Glory vocally, then K.O.B. might be interesting for you!
Winter's Call is a more mellow song, not really a ballad. Some tracks are mid-tempo ones, e.g. Time or like The Right Way which starts slowly, but speeds up and reminds me partly of Manowar....
Listen to it and make up your mind about K.O.B.! Not bad, but so-so.....
