Wisdom Of Centuries

Wisdom Of Centuries
(Candlelight Records - 2012)

Khors are back after a switch to Candlelight Records, and with the album Wisdom Of Centuries they splash their fifth album in the face of their fans. The style is still black metal played with half songs and half strange sounds on the instrumental tracks. Nothing new really, and of the 8 songs there are only two tracks that are not ashamed of themselves, that is Black Forest's Flaming Eyes where we get a good pounding rhythm and very deep dark vocals in a composition that sort of grip you and force you to listen to its ultra black music. The Last Leaves is a good melodic piece of fast played black metal to prove that there is a substance to Khors no matter what the other songs might indicate. The rest of the songs are below average, without structure or ideas, and on the very title track Khors serve some kind of bird singing for the listeners, if normal chaos is not enough. Hopefully Khors will get some more control of their music in the future, otherwise the number of fans could drop very fast.
