It was pretty cold while waiting out there for doors to get opened. After a short delay of 5 minutes, I could get in to the warm Garage in Saarbrücken. Again, they parted the hall (as at the Stratovarius gig), but there were definitly more visitors on February 9th. Local death metal act Megaera opened the show. They seemed to be a little insecure on stage, but did their job pretty good. They did like a sort of death / thrash metal with some nice guitar soli and blast attacks.
After a short break it was time for Survivors Zero, new band of ex-Finntroll vocalist Tapio Wilska. They kicked of with Armageddon Cult, a heavy death thrasher. It seemed that they had found some new fans here, because there were some headbangers in the hall. Another top of their set - they only released one album so far - was People Of The Lie, a well done Kreator cover. They also played the single release Reclaim My Heritage which was great and as last track the album opener Embrace The Infernal which was a blast-goodbye to the fans. Really great show!

Now it was time for Hypocrisy to enter the stage. After an awesome intro they kicked off with Valley Of The Damned, directly followed by Hang Him High. Great applause was offered for the hit Eraser. Peter Tägtgren did a pretty good performance and I have to say that Hypocrisy is an awesome live band! Their songs are well done at the album, but live they are killer tracks! Just check them out live, if you have the chance to!
