This time High Roller Records give us a 'mysterious band', the members are called only by their names Chris, Mike, Scott, Bob and Ian. These guys play in others bands and the city in cover picture is Chicago, these is what we knew about this band.... Oops I forgot to tell you people that this is a collection of their very first demos that became their first real album. Personally I like this kind of operation, we can appreciate this particular NWoBHM meets rock sound, a particular style of hard rock / heavy metal hybrid, a pleasure to discover how good could be listen a special mixture of Def Leppard and Tokyo Blade meets Diamond Head. And for this reason I love to hear songs like Another Night In The City, Full Power or Going Up. Another good album to hear, another positive review for me in this lucky period......
Not so many words to say about this album, this is a special CD. In a period where many new young bands try to emulate (luckily) the old NWoBHM sound of bands like Fist, Raven or Blitzkrieg, we have here the possibility to listen High Spirits in their particular version of that musical period.
