Bleed The Dream

Bleed The Dream
(Candlelight Records - 2007)

The quartet from Las Vegas, Nevada, is presenting Bleed The Demon now. The Americans are touring a lot and been on tour in the US with bands like Slayer, Exodus, Hatebreed, Disturbed, Shadows Fall and lately toured with Pro-Pain in Europe. And fans of the above mentioned bands are their target group. The songs are riff-based and heavy. But they surprise the fans with breaks and so keep it interesting. You can even say they have a progressive edge... Listen to The Platinum Lie and you know what I'm talking about. But mainly it's straight-forward up-tempo rockers with fat bass lines and heavy guitars. The deep raspy voice of Chad Smith is at The Platinum Lie accompanied by clean vocals. Nobody Knows is extremely heavy and bass- / guitar-driven. Something which fans of Crowbar and Down should dig.... With Jacob's Ladder they cross the border to melodic death metal... While the following Pipebomb is faster and a real neck breaker. The title track is a modern, doomy tune with some mean vocals as a counterpart to Chad's growls.
This songs will work best live, but fans of the mentioned bands should give it a try. The guys offer a variety of sounds and step over genre borders. Check out the title track Bleed The Dream, Nobody Knows and Jacob's Ladder.
