Ghost Avenue

Ghost Avenue
(PitchBlack Records - 2013)

Norwegian band Ghost released a demo Time Will Tell in 2005, an EP called Days Undercover in 2009 and a full-length CD in 2010 - The Engraving. Now they changed their name to Ghost Avenue and present the self-titled album via Pitch Black Records. As there is more than one band called Ghost it was a smart move.

The band of singer Kim Sandvik is kicking of with the title track, an 80's heavy metal tune with a NWoBHM edge. Rock'n Roll Tree is like a travel back in time! Ghost Avenue live the 80's sound, but even if they have the organic sound they can offer a better sound quality as most bands back in the days - without polishing too much. Ghost Avenue is a tribute to the 80's and so not everybody will fall for them. A metal anthem is All I Can Say, but even if this one sticks out due to its catchiness, the other songs are all fun!
