Disconnected

Disconnected
(Massacre Records - 2000)

Disconnected is the 10th studio album of the American progressive metal act. Again they present an album which ask for 100% concentrating on the music, nothing to listen to while doing this or that. The seven songs build homogenous unit, it’s more like one song with different chapters like they did with A Pleasant Shade Of Grey. Not necessary to mention the musical talent of the members, after 17 years everyone who knows Fates Warning knows that they offer high quality. In comparison with APSOG Diconnected is more powerful, but offers also large variety of emotions / atmospheres. Definitely one of their best releases!

A Pleasant Shade Of Gray

A Pleasant Shade Of Gray
(Massacre Records - 1997)

Most of the Fates Warning fans wanted an album more like Awaken The Guardian or No Exit, the reality is different. A Pleasant Shade Of Gray is a musical highlight, but not what many fans were longing for. It's more progressive, more complex, but very well arranged.
