The New Orleans quintet offers a real heavy metal sound... Hardcore influenced, but not pure hardcore. How to call this sound? Hate Metal!?!
Eyehategod offer on their latest release their own brew of their musical influences which contains the heaviness of Black Sabbath and Lynyrd Skynyrd and push it even further... In the US they toured with Pantera, Crowbar and White Zombie and that's their audience. In '98 singer Michael Williams left during the tour, the band kinda broke up. Jimmy Bower concentrates on his work with Down and Crowbar, while Brian Patten played with Soilent Green. Later they reunited. The first result of the reunion was Southern Discomfort, a compilation. And now they are back, better than before!
