Destiny Of The Sacred Kingdom

Destiny Of The Sacred Kingdom
(Ice Warrior Records - 2012)

Dragon Guardian is a Japanese band who are mostly known in .... Japan. Their style is set by guitarist and bass player Arthur Brave, a skilled guitarist, fast and fantastic, but maybe too dominating. With this new album Destiny Of The Sacred Kingdom they have released 11 CDs from 2008 to 2012, and most of them for the Japanese market. Nobody can blame them that they try to go for the world-wide market, and for that purpose they hook up with singer Leo Figaro, ex-Minstrelix, a singer with a falsetto voice so high that it could make damage to the listeners ears. Their songs are symphonic metal with fantasy themes, storytelling and endless guitar madness from Arthur Brave. The thing that springs into the eyes is what in the world Leo Figaro is doing in a band like Dragon Guardian? In my view Figaro does more damage than good, totally wrong to place Figaro and Brave together. Arthur Brave is a wonderful guitarist, but I can't help to wonder what the result would be like if he tries his skills in an ordinary heavy metal band, it seems like he could find the right spot there, Dragon Guardian will not be able to make an attempt for success in the rest of the world with this kind of music, not as I see it.
