Last summer Down Below played at some festival in Germany like Rock am Ring / Rock im Park as well as Mera Luna, but the band from Dessau-Roßlau got even more attention in Germany as the take part at Bundesvision Song Contest for Saxony-Anhalt with their first German song called Sand in meiner Hand. If the 2003 founded quartet will get enough people to vote for them, we will see.... The contest was founded by TV Total host Stefan Raab to support German bands who use German lyrics. At least 50% of the lyrics have to be German.
Usually the gothic rocker use English lyrics and so this is an experiment for singer Neo Scope and his pals. Sand in meiner Hand is an electro gothic rock tune with some symphonic elements. to me it seems that partly Neo Scope don't feel comfortable with the German lyrics... Or is it just a lack of experience with German lyrics? A catchy gothic tune which might get them some new fans due to their show at Bundesvision Song Contest at Feb. 14th 2008 in Hannover.
Beside the title track the single will have a remix of the title track and a remix of their last single Private Soul Security.
