Macabrum Bestia Ex Abyssus

Macabrum Bestia Ex Abyssus
(Moribund Records - 2010)

The dark flame of black metal is shining bright in the underground. Bleeding Fist are one such group of hell-spawned black metal warriors intent on crushing the skulls of the weak and spineless beneath the iron-shod hooves of their bestial sonic assault.
Hailing from Slovenia, which recently seems to have become a breeding ground for awesome metal, this unholy quintet play extremely aggressive, brutal black metal in the vein of Impiety, Kriegsmaschine and Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult; all of whom should be known to followers of underground black metal. Sure, they're not he most original sounding band you'll ever hear, but they accomplish what they set out to do and that is to destroy your ears with music. What this band lose in originality, they more than make up for in terms of head-pounding excitement and brutality.
Any fan of underground black metal should appreciate what Bleeding Fist offer up in this six song EP. Five tracks (including the intro) are originals, the fifth is a Hellhammer cover and all of them are well worth listening to. This is a band taking the best of the Darkthrone blueprint and adding in a great deal of much needed talent and more aggression than you should be able to contain in one CD!
