(Napalm Records - 2003)

The Swedish guys chose a title for their latest album which will probably give a wrong impression. They present gothic metal without bombast and epic elements. It's more the pure feeling of sadness, of living on the dark side of life. They have the classic female / male singers, but it's not the typical she sings angel-like and he grunts! Erik Molarin and Lotta Höglin show a large variety of using their voices to create something special. I had my doubts before I checked out the album, coz the main songwriter left the band and often that isn't a change for the better. But in case of Beseech the sound didn't changed much when Klas Bohlin - guitarist and main songwriter - left the band. Voices is a song which let you think of Type O' Negative.... With Bitch and Addicted they have recorded some catchy melancholy tracks. In comparison with the predecessor Souls Highway the songs are mainly written in the same speed. A little more variety would make it more interesting, but this isn't a bad one!
